gimme a break

Where to start. Well, let's see...

Okay, I know. Carrie kidnapped Dan and then tried to abduct Jamie, but Haley and Deb ganged up on her and killed her. With the possible exception of some very freaky re-animation effects, I don't think we'll have to worry about her anymore. That's good, because I was about to reach into the tv and rip her pretty little eyes out. She was quite villainous. Maybe a little too evil, though. She sold it.

Nathan gave up on b-ball and is now participating, with Owen (?), in this new, crazy, super-high contact sport called Slamball. It's a real sport. Google it. It's not exactly where I would imagine Nathan, though. Haley's worried, rightfully so, because of his history of spinal injury. If he does end up back in a wheelchair, he'll probably be a lot nicer about it this time around. They spent a little time alone while Jamie spent the night at Brooke's house, so the chances of a new baby are up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Speaking of Brooke, she recovered nicely from the attack, and although Victoria never actually said, "yes, I did it," we can all read between the lines and figure out that yes, she did it. No brain-buster there. Brooke is also on the path toward a reconciliation with Owen, who is providing protection for Nathan on the Slamball court in the form of some excessively violent tackling. (Slamball is apparently a combination of tackle football and basketball. It's fairly forceful.) I for one am rooting for Browen. Owke? Okay, so the name combo doesn't work, but they're still a cute couple. And now that Sam is a permanent fixture (knock on wood), they'll be a very cute family.

Lucas's book is being made into a movie, and here's where I got a little lost. I missed ONE episode in six seasons, the whole world could end because of what happened, and I don't know what happened. Oh sure, I could go online and dig around until I find out, but so far I've been too lazy for that. I'll try and piece it all together as best I can. Here's what I know: (1) Peyton knows this Julian person who wants to movie-tize the book. (2) Lucas doesn't know that Peyton knows him. (3) Julian is evil and trying to ruin either Peyton's life or Lucas's by interfering with their upcoming nuptuals. (4) Peyton's history with Julian is sordid at best, and may involve sex and/or making out after Peyton turned down the first marriage offer and Lucas ran back to Tree Hill in tears. My conclusion is that this could spell B-I-G trouble for the happy couple.

Sam is a thief and a rotten girl, but we're destined to like her.

Jackson is beginning to look too old to play Jamie any more. Something's gotta give.

Dan and Deb are MIA, and I get the feeling that I may have missed more important stuff regarding them (and Antwon).

Mouth and Millie and Gigi make for a very strange love triangle. I wish Millie would kick Gigi in the mouth. Heh.

That's all for now. Monday may or may not bring a new episode, but whatever happens, I'll try and do better with the writing.

:)
