summer blues

Well, I do have baseball to keep me busy, but on Monday nights, if I happen to be flipping though the channels and come across an old episode of The Show, I get a little emotional. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
New episodes are set to start September 1. They're already filming, so whatever is gonna happen is already happening. It kills me wondering about the proposal. Do you suppose Lucas will make the right choice? And I don't mean will he pick who I want him to pick? I mean will he pick the person who will end up being his soulmate? Will he make the right choice for his heart? And who the hell is that person, anyway?
He and Peyton have history. They met and had instant chemistry, but she's always pushed him away. When they first met, she was angry and embracing the whole "disenfranchised youth" thing. He tried from the beginning to win her heart, and at one point she was willing to give him her body but not her soul. Eventually--after he got involoved with Brooke--she decided she was ready for a real relationship. Was it because he was unavailable? Because his heart was divided and he was less of an emotional threat to her that way? Is that why she's decided she wants him back now? Because the same thing applies, just with Lindsey on the opposing side rather than Brooke? If he does choose Peyton, will she back away when things get serious?

The suspense is killing me.
